Dear Northlake,
I want to update you on our Becoming A City of God capital campaign.
As you know, a few months ago, we decided to pivot from the original plans designed by our architects. After much work, the cost of building the original facility was just too high. We desperately need additional space to continue facilitating the growth the Lord is blessing us with. However, this does not mean we should outstretch ourselves and our capacity to pay for the needed expansion.
Through creative thinking and replanning, we are now on the path toward our new expansion becoming a reality. We will admit that our decision to alter our plans cost us some time, but we were able to reduce our financial burden by over $5 Million. Currently, our architects, builder, and building team are concluding the reshaping of our plans, which include:
-New Worship Center with over 650 seating capacity
-175 additional parking spaces
-Adult classroom space
-Children and teen special needs Space
-Community Cafe/Lounge
-Large lobby that will also be used as conference space
-Lots of bathrooms
-Also in our plan are additional alterations to our current facility to expand our children and student space.
As mentioned, we are slightly behind our timeline due to our course correction. However, since the new facility’s overall square footage has been reduced, our overall construction time frame has also been reduced. We aim to start moving dirt in late fall, and the target completion date is December 2025. How exciting will that be?
Church, thank you to all those who have faithfully given above and beyond your regular giving. Your faithful stewardship allows us to accelerate our vision of becoming a City of God by expanding our campus to accommodate many more who will call Northlake home. To those new to Northlake, we ask you to prayerfully consider giving above and beyond your regular giving to invest in our new home. Through our shared sacrifice, I am asking the Lord to allow us to pay cash for our expansion by the time we move in. Will you join me in that prayer?
Love you, church, and thankful for you,
Pastor Denny
