Northlake Family,

I have some exciting news to share with you—yesterday, we officially kicked off the construction of our new parking lot, worship center and expansion!

To be honest, there were days I wondered if we’d ever get through the permitting process. But the Lord has been gracious to teach us patience and trust in His perfect timing.

So, what’s been happening while we’ve been meeting at the Performing Arts Center over the past two months? Quite a bit, actually.

  • New bathrooms have been built out in our children’s ministry area—we’ve gone from one toilet to eight! (Pictures below.)

  • Windows have been installed in our children's classrooms, and they’ve made a huge difference in light and warmth. (Pictures below.)

  • Exterior upgrades on our current building are almost complete.

Even with all this progress, we’re not quite ready to move back home just yet.

Over the next 8-10 weeks (hopefully),  the new parking lot in front of our existing facility will be under construction.  Once this is complete we will move back to our facility. At the same time, earthwork and underground infrastructure will begin on our south lot. Then, in quick succession, we’ll start going vertical with our new worship center!

It’s an exciting time—but also one that comes with new challenges. At Northlake, we’re no strangers to challenges, and time and again we’ve seen God’s faithfulness meet us at every step. And now, we step forward again in faith.

Here’s our biggest challenge ahead: finishing strong financially.

The construction timeline to completion of our new facility —and moving in—is about 13 to 14 months. At that point, our construction loan will convert into a long-term mortgage. To meet the obligations we've made with our financing partner, we will need to raise an additional $3 million over the next 14 months or so.

So, here’s how each of us can play our part:

To those who made a commitment to our “Becoming a City of God” campaign but have not yet begun to fulfill it, now is the time to be faithful. These next 14 months are critical.

To those who have already given and are continuing to give—thank you. Your generosity and faithfulness are what’s making this vision a reality.

To those who are new to the Northlake family, I encourage you to prayerfully consider joining us in this vision by making a financial commitment above and beyond your regular giving.

We are now officially on the clock. I believe God will provide through His people. And I believe each of us will do our part in faith, sacrifice, and obedience.

Together, God will use us to accomplish something beautiful that furthers our vision: seeing our city become a City of God.

With expectation,

Pastor Denny
